Website Terms and Conditions

Lois Beale

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of loisbeale.com (the website). By using the website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.

  • Business: Lois Beale ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader based in Sydney, NSW

  • ABN: 89 062 841 358

  • Contact: hello@loisbeale.com

These terms cover the website only. Any consulting work we do for you is covered by a separate written proposal or client agreement (see section 4).

2. Using the website

You may use the website for your own information and to get in touch with us. You must not:

  • use the website in a way that is unlawful, misleading or harmful to others

  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or other users' information

  • introduce viruses, malicious code or anything that could damage or disrupt the website

  • copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the website using automated tools

  • send spam, or submit false or someone else's details through our forms

We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or up to date. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time.

3. General information, not advice

The content on the website, including articles, resources, examples and social media posts, is general information about team communication, workflow and business operations. It is not tailored to your circumstances and is not legal, financial, tax, HR or other professional advice.

Before acting on anything you read, think about whether it suits your business and get advice where needed. Any examples or results we describe reflect particular clients and situations, and your results will depend on your own team and circumstances.

4. Enquiries, free calls and working with us

Free 30 minute call. Booking a free call is not a commitment for either of us. It's a chance to talk through what's happening in your business and whether we're a good fit. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel.

Quotes and proposals. Before any paid work begins, we will send you a written proposal or quote setting out the scope, timing and fees. Unless it says otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days. Quotes are based on the information you've given us. If the scope, team size or timing changes, we may need to update the quote.

Client agreement. Paid work only starts once you have accepted our proposal and client agreement in writing (email is fine). That agreement covers matters such as the program's minimum term, payment terms, rescheduling, changes in scope, confidentiality and ending the engagement. If anything on the website differs from your client agreement, the client agreement applies.

Pricing. Any prices or packages shown on the website are a guide only and may change. Your proposal confirms the fees that apply to you. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclusive of GST. We are registered for GST, and GST of 10% is added to our invoices.

Online and in-person sessions. Sessions can run online for any team, with in-person options for Sydney-based teams. Travel outside the Sydney area may be charged as set out in your proposal.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the website, including text, frameworks, program names, graphics, logos, photos and downloadable resources, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by Australian copyright and other laws.

You may view, download and print content for your own personal or internal business use. You must not copy, republish, sell, adapt or present our content or frameworks as your own, or use our name or logo, without our written permission. Sharing a link to a page is always welcome.

6. Testimonials and client stories

Testimonials and client stories on the website and our social media are genuine and shared with permission. They reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of the same outcome for your business.

7. Links, social media and third-party tools

The website may link to other sites, including our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages, and may use third-party tools such as online booking and analytics. We don't control those sites or tools and aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

If you comment on or message us through social media, please keep it respectful. We may hide or remove comments that are offensive, misleading, spam or unrelated to our business.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

  • the website and its content are provided "as is", without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or suitability for your purposes

  • we are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit or data) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or any linked site

You are responsible for any loss we suffer because you have breached these terms or misused the website.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and handle your personal information, including through cookies, analytics and our advertising on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on the website, with the date it was last updated. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.
